2001 five dollar note. This is a commemorative note issued for the Centenary of Federation.
The obverse is a picture of Sir Henry Parkes based on a painting by Tom Roberts, offset and intaglio printing on polymer substrate, with a clear window depiction of a gum leaf; by artist Gary Emery.
The reverse is a picture of Catherine Helen Spence based on a painting by Margaret Preston, offset and intaglio printing on polymer substrate; by Gary Emery.
