A great con pair of the first Australian decimal banknote R301

The obverse shows a picture of Francis Greenway by artist Guy Warren with a composite sketch of Francis Greenway’s architecture, including St James’ Church, Sydney; designed by Gordon Andrews, intaglio with dry offset.

The reverse is showing a portrait of Henry Lawson by artist Alfred Cook, with scenes from his poetry and of the outback gold mining town of Gulgong in the 19th century.

Watermark is of Captain James Cook; design by the British firm, Portals.
