Description
One dollar note, this old paper banknote has been put in the specials because of a very rare counter stamp.
The obverse shows Queen Elizabeth II, intaglio with dry offset printing; design by Gordon Andrews.
The reverse features designs based on a bark painting by David Malangi Daymirringu (left-hand side) and rock paintings and carvings.
Watermark of Captain James Cook and the Australian coat of arms were designed by the British firm, Portals.
